Assistant Principal

Dr. Timothy Marren

Dr. Tim Marren

My name is Dr. Timothy Marren (Doc Marren), and I am very excited to join the Davis family.  After graduating from Central High School (Class of 256), I earned my Bachelor of Sciences from West Chester University.  After that, I began my first career as a Probation & Parole Officer for the City of Philadelphia.  In 2010, I completed a Master’s Degree with distinction in Elementary Education at Cabrini University and started my true calling as an educator.  As of May 2022, Mr. Marren became Dr. Marren, completing my Ed. D. in Educational Leadership at Holy Family University.  My doctoral work focused on gender differences in the reading abilities of primary grade students.

I spent the past 11 years at Franklin Towne Charter Elementary School in the Philadelphia School District.  My educational career started with teaching sixth grade, then I moved on to become the Math Department Head, and I served as the Assistant Principal for the last four years.  In those positions, I have been able to play a role in academics, intervention, and providing a positive climate and culture while promoting a family-like environment in the school building.

I am very excited to join the Centennial School District, especially Davis Elementary!  I look forward to working with the students and families at Davis to ensure students love coming to school and love learning every day!  I cannot wait to meet all of you as we end the 2021-2022 school year or at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year.
