Students had the opportunity to learn valuable skills, including what to do in the event of a fire, how to stay calm during an emergency, and the importance of having a fire safety plan at home. The visit gave our Davis Dolphins a hands-on look at the role firefighters play in keeping our community safe, while reinforcing lifesaving lessons in a fun and engaging way.
We are so grateful to the Southampton Fire Department for taking the time to share their knowledge and expertise with our students. Fire Safety Week is a wonderful reminder of the importance of fire prevention and preparedness, and visits like these help make these lessons come to life for our students.
Thank you to the Southampton Fire Department for your continued partnership and commitment to keeping our students and community safe!

Early this week, students in Centennial School District's SPIRIT program soft-launched their own ShopRite! This exciting venture is a smaller-scale version of the supermarket, giving CSD employees the chance to stop in and purchase everyday items right on-site.
Thanks to the original connection made by the late Joseph Cowhey, SPIRIT students have had the opportunity to operate the ShopRite store at William Tennent High School before the regular bell schedule begins. Now, with SPIRIT at the Administration Building, our students can operate the store for longer shifts and more frequently throughout the day.
Students are gaining valuable real-world experience while serving Administration Building staff, SPIRIT staff, students, and visitors attending professional development and training. Each shift gives students opportunities to practice customer service, communication, teamwork, responsibility, and other important workplace skills.
We're so proud of our SPIRIT students for their hard work in bringing this soft launch to life. Congratulations on this exciting milestone, and we can't wait to see the program continue to grow!

Families visited classrooms, met their child's teacher, and learned about daily routines, curriculum plans, and ways to stay involved throughout the year. Thank you to everyone who came out to kick off the year with us!
Events like these are only successful because of families like yours. We're grateful for your continued partnership and support as we kick off another great year in Centennial School District.
Here's to a wonderful year ahead!

We are incredibly grateful to announce that ETHOS Technology has donated $5,000 to assist with meal debt across Centennial School District!
Unpaid meal balances can create real financial stress for families and impact a student's daily school experience. This generous contribution directly helps ease that burden so our students can focus on what matters most, learning and growing.
Ethos is a mission-driven company committed to giving back, donating 30% of its net profits to charitable causes like Philabundance, Charity Water, Vibrant Health, and local school communities where their team and clients live and work.
Thank you, Ethos Technology, for your incredible generosity, partnership, and dedication to our Centennial community!

Our morning began with an inspiring address from our Superintendent, Dr. Lucabaugh, setting our shared vision and priorities for the year ahead, followed by welcome remarks from our School Board Vice-President, Tony Sadowski. Our security team presented us with guidelines on reinforcing safety protocols across all buildings. We were also thrilled to welcome the Centennial Education Foundation (CEF) to learn more about their continued support for innovative teacher grants and student programs. Most importantly, it was an incredible opportunity to bring all teachers, support staff, and administrators together under one roof to reconnect before our students return.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this morning's event a success. We are ready to welcome our students back and make this school year extraordinary! 📚

Key leadership priorities from our final sessions included:
🎯 Clear Expectations: Establishing consistent standards of operational and professional expectations across all leadership levels.
📊 Strategic Improvement: Equipping administrators with data-driven frameworks to monitor and drive growth district-wide.
🛡️ Safety Oversight: Training leadership teams on crisis management protocols, emergency drill execution, and site safety audits.
📝 Instructional Coaching: Refining administrative observation models and walkthrough feedback to directly support classroom instruction.
Our principals and administrative team are fully aligned, prepared, and ready to lead Centennial into a successful school year!

The Fine Arts Festival is in full swing, and it is clear how much hard work has gone into these performances. Our musicians have been practicing since January and have truly gone above and beyond this week! 🎶
There is still time to join in on the fun and celebrate their achievements:
🎼 Chorus Night is happening TONIGHT (7 PM) at William Tennent High school!
🥁 Band Night is TOMORROW NIGHT (7 PM) William Tennent High school!
Come out and show your support for our talented students. See you there! 🏫💙
